Aufruf zur Verteidigung der Besetzung im Hambacher Wald
Seit fünf Jahren ist der Hambacher Wald besetzt. Menschen errichten hier Baumhäuser und verteidigen sie, um die Bäume auf denen sie leben zu beschützen. Nichts desto trotz rücken die Kohlebagger, Bullen und Secus immer näher.
Laut Gesetz gehört der Wald RWE, einem Energieriesen, der für die Braunkohleverstromung nicht nur den jahrhunderte alten Wald zerstört, Lebensräume vernichtet, die Menschen aus den umliegenden Dörfern vertreibt, sondern auch, allein im rheinischen Braunkohlerevier, 30% von Deutschlands CO2 Emission ausstößt. So beutet RWE für seine Profitmaximierung die ganze Welt aus, und trägt maßgebend dazubei, dass Menschen gezwungen werden, ihre Heimatländer zu verlassen. Denn die ersten, die unter Klimaerwärmung leiden, sind nicht die, die die Profite einfahren, sondern Menschen im globalen Süden. Damit ist der Konflikt hier auch ein Kampf gegen Imperialismus, gegen Unterdrückung und Rassismus. Was hier passiert, passiert nicht zufällig. Es ist ein Symptom des kapitalistischen Systems. Und wir entwickeln Wege es anzugreifen.
Seit fünf Jahren greifen wir hier also nicht nur RWE, sondern ein System von Herrschaft und Ausbeutung an, dass den Profitwahn des Großkonzern möglich macht. Für uns ist klar: Der Kampf um Klimagerechtigkeit ist auch der Kampf für eine herrschaftsfreie Welt, jenseits von kapitalistischen Zwänge, einer Welt in der Großkonzerne keine Macht über Mensch und Natur haben.
Durch direkte Aktion haben wir es geschafft RWE zu schaden, durch Sabotage und Blockaden hat der Konzern Millionen Verluste gemacht. Der Imageschaden der entstanden ist, da die Folgen von Braunkohle aus der Öffentlichkeit nicht mehr wegzudenken sind, ist nicht berechenbar. Mit der jahrelangen Besetzung haben wir gezeigt, dass es möglich ist, Widerstand zu leisten. Nur durch gemeinsame Organisation und Mut haben wir es geschafft, diesen Freiraum zu erkämpfen und zu erhalten. Denn trotz extremer Repression, obwohl viele von uns verprügelt, misshandelt und eingesperrt wurden, sind und bleiben wir hier! Denn in einem System, dass es wenigen erlaubt für ihre Gier den ganzen Planeten auszubeuten wird Widerstand zur Pflicht.
Die Zeit läuft. Wenn der Braunkohleabbau nicht sofort aufhört ist es unmöglich den Klimawandel aufzuhalten. Und die Zeit läuft auch für den Wald. Ab Oktober hat RWE die Erlaubnis weiterzuroden. Wenn sie wie geplant 70 Hektar roden, dann wird nicht nur der Großteil des alten Waldes unwiderrufbar zerstörrt, sondern auch die einzige Waldbesetzung im deutschsprachigen Raum komplett geräumt werden. Es geht nicht mehr darum nur einen Wald zu beschützen. Es geht um globale Gerechtigkeit, es geht darum einen Konzern zu Rechenschaft zu ziehen. Das können wir nur schaffen, wenn wir viele sind!
Alle, die Staat und Kapitalismus bekämpfen wollen! Macht eure Theorie zur Parxis. Helft mit diesen Freiraum zu erhalten, gestaltet ihn mit und verteidigt ihn!
Ab September werden wir hier Workshops geben, die es allen ermöglichen, auf welche Art und Weise es ihnen entspricht, hier zu wirken. Wir geben alle Fähigkeiten weiter die es braucht, um einen Baum zu bestzten und andere Aktionen durchzuführen. Ab Oktober werden wir den Wald so großflächig besetzten, dass es für RWE unmöglich wird, ihn zu roden. Falls du nicht hier her kommen kannst, dann helf uns und dir selbst, von wo auch immer du bist. Call for defending the occupation of the Hambach Forest
The Hambach Forest has been occupied for five years. For five years people have been building and defending tree houses in order to protect the trees they are living on. For five years diggers, cops, and secus have kept coming closer. Officially, the forest is owned by RWE, a multinational energy company that does not only want to kill the thousands-of-years-old forest, destroy habitats, dispossess and displace residents from the surrounding villages to generate power. With it’s production of lignite in the Rhineland along it is responsible for 30% of Germany’s CO2 emissions. A company that does not shy away from exploiting the entire world in order to maximise its profits. It is a company that significantly contributes to generating situations forcing people to leave their countries of origin. Because the people who first have to deal with the consequences of global warming are not those profiting from coal, but people from the global South. This makes our struggle part of the struggle against imperialism, against oppression and racism. What happens here does not happen by accident. It is a symbol of the capitalist system. And we are working on means of attacking it.
For five years we have not only been attacking RWE, but a system of hierarchy and exploitation that facilitates the company’s mania for profit. It is very clear for us that the fight for climate justice is intimately linked with the struggle for a world without hierarchies, a world far away from capitalistic coercion where major companies do not yield any power over human beings and nature! It is intimately linked to a world where everyone has the right and courage to defend their opinions and principles without being silenced by repressions from the state and system! The fact that the occupation is still alive after five years is proof for the fact that it is possible to resist, that it is possible to dedicate your life to your own maxims and that we will succeed in turning theory into praxis. Only by organising collectively and through courage were we able to fight for this freedom and free space and to maintain it. Despite repressions, despite many of us having been beat up, abused and imprisoned, we are here and will stay here!
With direct action we were able to cause damage to RWE, because of sabotage and blockades the company lost millions of Euros. The damage done to the company’s image due to the broad publicity on the consequences of lignite extraction is unpredictable. Although RWE continues to dig for lignite and destroy everything that is alive and beautiful we showed that it is possible to influence events. Because in a system that allows few to exploit an entire planet to still their own greed, resistance becomes a duty. Time is ticking. If lignite extraction is not stopped immediately it is impossible to stop climate change. Time is ticking for the forest, too. Starting in October, RWE has permission to continue cutting trees. If the company cuts 70ha of forest as planned, a large majority of the ancient ecosystem will be lost irrevocably and the only forest occupation in German speaking countries will be evicted and destroyed. This is not only about protecting a forest. This is about global justice, and it is about making a company accountable. We can only achieve this when we are many!

Starting in September we will hold workshops in the forest that will give everyone the skills to be active in and around Hambi in the way you find most attractive and suitable. We will pass on all abilities necessary to occupy a tree and carry out other actions. In case you cannot come to the forest then help us and yourselves from wherever you are. La forêt Hambach a été occupée depuis maintenant cinq ans. Pour cinq ans, maintes personnes se sont rassemblées pour construire et défendre des cabanes dans les arbres afin de les protéger. Pour cinq ans, excavateurs, police et sécu n’ont cessé de se rapprocher. Officiellement, la forêt appartient à RWE, une multinationale d’énergie prête à détruire à jamais cette forêt vieille de milliers d’années et à déposséder et déplacer les résidents des villages environnant pour générer de l’énergie. Avec sa production de lignite dans le Rhineland, elle est responsable pour 30% de l’émission de CO2 par l’Allemagne. Une compagnie qui n’a pas honte d’exploiter le monde entier pour maximiser son profit. C’est une compagnie qui contribue de façon significative à générer les conditions contraignant des personnes à quitter leurs pays d’origine. En effet, les premiers à devoir subir les conséquences du réchauffement climatique ne sont pas ceux qui profitent de charbon, mais ceux des pays du Sud.
Ce qui fait de notre lutte une lutte contre l’impérialisme, l’oppression et le racisme. Ce qui arrive ici n’arrive pas par accident. C’est un symptôme et un symbole du système capitaliste, et nous travaillons sur des mesures pour l’attaquer directement.
Pour cinq ans nous n’avons pas seulement attaqué RWE, mais surtout un système d’hiérarchie et d’oppression qui facilite sa mania du profit. Il est très clair pour nous que la lutte pour la justice climatique est intimement liée avec la lutte pour un monde sans hiérarchie, un monde loin de la coercition capitaliste et où les plus grosses compagnies ne détiennent pas de pouvoir sur les êtres humains et la nature!
Elle est intimement liée à un monde où tout le monde a le droit et le courage de défendre ses opinions et ses principes sans être réduit au silence par la repression du système économique et de l’appareil d’état.
Le fait que cette occupation existe encore après cinq ans est une preuve qu’il est possible de résister, de dédier sa vie à ses propres maximes et de transformer sa théorie en praxis. Seulement en s’organisant collectivement et à travers le courage avons nous été capable de nous battre pour cette liberté, cet espace libre, et pour le maintenir. Malgré la repression, le nombre d’entre nous avoir été battu, désabusé et emprisonné, nous sommes ici et resteront ici!
Avec l’action directe nous avons été capable d’endommager RWE, qui a perdu des millions d’euros à cause de sabotages et de blocages. Le dommage fait à l’image de la compagnie, dû à la conscientisation sur les conséquences de l’extraction de lignite, est imprévisible. Bien que RWE continue à creuser et à détruire tout ce qui est vivant et beau, nous avons montré qu’il est possible d’influencer ces événements.
Dans un système permettant à certains d’exploiter la planète entière pour satisfaire leur propre cupidité, la résistance devient un devoir.
Le temps file. Si l’on ne met pas fin à l’extraction de lignite il sera impossible de mettre fin au changement climatique.
Le temps est compté pour la forêt aussi. À partir d’octobre, RWE aura la permission de continuer à couper des arbres. Si la compagnie coupe 70 hectares de forêt comme prévu, une large majorité d’anciens écosystèmes seront perdus irrévocablement et la seule forêt occupée des pays germanophones sera expulsée et détruite. Ceci ne concerne pas seulement la survie de cette forêt. Il s’agit de la justice globale, en passant par la responsabilisation des compagnies.
Nous ne pouvons seulement accomplir ceci si nous sommes beaucoup!

Defendemos la ocupación en el bosque! Defendemos el Hambacher Wald!
Desde hace cinco años el Hambacher Wald está siendo occupado. Desde hace cinco años hay gente que construye casitas ahí arriba en los árboles defendiendolos – salvando los bosques que se han convertido en su hogar.
A pasar de ello, desde hace cinco años, las excavadoras de carbón están acercandose cada vez más. Tanto como los agentes de seguridad y los pacos.
Oficialmente hablando, el bosque pertenece a RWE, una empresa de energía gigante que, para ganar energía del lignito, destruye el bosque secular, exterminando espacios vitales y expulsando, en consecuencia, a la gente que vive en sus alrededores. Además de eso, esta empresa produce – sólo viendo el restrito de extracción de la región en el Rhein – alrededor del 30% de las emisiónes de CO2 del país. Un consorcio entonces que, para maximizar sus ganancias, explota a todo el mundo y contribuye a una situación en que mucha gente esta obligada de abandonar sus tierras natales. De todos modos los primeros que sufren del calentamiento global no son las personas que se embolsan las ganancias, sino que es la gente en el sur global. Es decir, el conflicto que hay aquí también incluye una lucha en contra del imperialismo, de la represión y del racismo. Lo que esta pasando aquí no pasa por casualidad sino que, es un síntoma del sistema capitalista. Y es así como, nosotros y nosotras desenvolvemos estrategias de embestir este sistema.
Así que desde hace cinco años no solo atacamos a RWE sino también a un sistema de abuso de poder y de explotación que facilita el delirio de grandeza de los multinacionales.
Para nosotros y nosotras es muy claro: la lucha por la justicia climática también se dirige a un mundo libre de caudillaje, más allá de las obligaciónes capitalistas – un mundo en que los conglomerados no tienen ningún poder sobre la gente y la naturaleza y un mundo en donde todos tenemos el derecho y el coraje a decir lo que pensamos y a defender nuestros principios sin estar acallados y acalladas ante estado o del sistema de represión.
Con la ocupación del bosque durante todos estos años hemos demostrado que es posible poner resistencia e ir desde la teoría a la practica. Sólo por medio de una organización en común y mucho coraje hemos conseguido conquistar y conservar este espacio libre.
Pese a la abismante represión, el abuso, el dolor y el esfuerzo, muchos de nosotros y nosotras seguimos aquí listos y listas, al pie del cañon para seguir defendiendo lo que creemos que es correcto y justo.
Por medio de acciónes directas hemos conseguido dañar a RWE. Por sabotaje, el consorcio ha sufrido perdidas de millónes de euros. El daño de imagen que hemos generado a través de la visibilizacion de la destrucción del bosque y extracción del carbón es inmesurable.
A pesar de que RWE todavía esta excavando carbón y destruyendo todo lo hermoso que puede llegar a ser un ambiente natural, hemos logrado intervenir y generar presión.
En un sistema que permite a algunos pocos a explotar el planeta para su propio beneficio- la resistencia se convierte en obligación.
Ya va siendo hora. Si la extracción del lignito no va a parar no será posible el impedir al cambio climático.
Y para el bosque también ya va siendo hora. A partir de octubre, RWE tiene el permiso de continuar avanzando su proceso de deforestación. Si su plan de deforestar 70 hectareas se lleva a cabo, no solo destruyen gran parte del bosque antiguo, sino también arrasan con la única ocupación de un bosque en el territorio alemán.
Ya no solo se trata de salvar el bosque sino que también se trata de la justicia global y de exigir cuentas a un consorcio.
Eso sólo podemos conseguir si somos muchos y muchas!

A partir de octubre vamos a ocupar al bosque tan vastamente que va a ser imposible para RWE deforestarlo.

De laatste 5 jaar hebben we niet alleen de RWE aangevallen maar ook het hiërarchische systeem achter de doorgeslagen ideeën over winst van RWE. Het is duidelijk voor ons dat het gevecht tegen klimaat onrecht is volledig gelinkt aan de strijd voor een wereld zonder hiërarchieën. Het feit dat de bezetting van het bos na 5 jaar nog steeds door gaat bewijst dat het mogelijk is je te verzetten, dat het mogelijk is je leven te wijden aan verandering en theorie in praktijk om te zetten. Alleen met het collectief organiseren van verzet was het mogelijk voor ons om te vechten voor vrijheid en vrije plaatsen voor iedereen. Ondanks repressies en velen van ons zijn gearresteerd zijn we hier nog steeds en we blijven ook hier.
Met directe aktes was het mogelijk om schade aan RWE toe te brengen door sabotage en blokkades. Het bedrijf heeft diersoorten miljoenen euros schade gehad. Hierdoor hebben we bewezen dat het mogelijk is om echt wat te doen. Want in een systeem waar enkele de complete wereld kunnen uitbuiten voor hun eigen gewin, word verzet eigenlijk een verplichting. De tijd tikt door. Als het winnen van lignite niet onmiddellijk stopt word het in de toekomst onmogelijk om klimaat verandering te stoppen. Dit gaat niet alleen maar om het beschermen van het bos, maar vooral ook om het beschermen van de aarde in het algemeen. Als er nu niet in Aktie komen dat word het nog veel moeilijker in de toekomst om hier wat tegen te doen. Verzet u allen tegen de staat en het kapitalisme. Help ons deze vrijheid en vrije ruimte te onderhouden en te verdedigen. In september zullen wij beginnen workshops te geven in het bos om iedereen het „gereedschap“ te geven wat in zijn of haar strijd het meest past. We zullen uitleggen hoe het mogelijk is een boom te bezetten. Vanaf oktober en verder plannen we grootschalige bezettingen in het bos zodat het voor RWE onmogelijk word de bomen te kappen. Als je niet naar het bos kan komen om ons te ondersteunen verspreid deze boodschap dan om te laten zien dat je in solidariteit bent met het verzet in het Rijnland. Of kom langs voor een paar dagen tijdens het kap seizoen tussen oktober en februari. Get in touch. Er zijn zoveel mogelijkheden het verzet te steunen als mensen die het steunen.
